Outpatient Services in North Carolina

Our outpatient therapy utilizes the expertise of our staff in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Specialized Consultation Services provide community-based expertise to family members, support staff, and other natural supports in assisting individuals with developmental disabilities. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), under the supervision of a licensed psychologist (LP) or licensed psychological associate (LPA) as required only in the state of North Carolina, assists in the assessment and treatment plan writing of a behavior support plan.  The BCBA works with the LP or LPA utilizing applied behavior analytical procedures in assessment and treatment. In addition, the BCBA conducts observation, training (of parents, staff, and paraprofessionals), and monitoring, as well as consultation when necessary to ensure maintenance of therapeutic progress to allow the individual to live as independently as possible.

Autism Treatment Programs offers clinic-based services that provide individualized treatment for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder using the science of Behavior Analysis. Staff assists children in the development of functional communication, independent living skills and social skills while working to extinguish maladaptive behaviors. Our applied behavior analysis program provides individualized treatment for every child. The procedures have been scientifically proven to be the most effective intervention for individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. A strong emphasis is placed on teaching language, social skills, and adaptive behaviors.
When treating a child diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, families need to be an integral part of the solutions. Parents, siblings, and other caregivers are provided with education and training throughout the treatment process. They will learn how to change their everyday interactions with the child to help support new skills and reinforce skills previously mastered. Our family-focused approach will help you create a positive, less stressful environment.
